Hemlock in Concert 7-14-12

Two days following Foxy Shazam I returned to Hammerhead Hall to photograph Hemlock in concert. I was not familiar with these guys going onto this one. I was surprised to hear that they were also playing the Mayhem Festival the next day in Indianapolis. Talk about working hard. After seeing the show they put on I am completely surprised that they have any energy to play shows on their off days from that tour but I am very glad they did. Awesome guys, and if you ever get a chance to meet them check out the drummers tattoos, old school horror stuff going on there. The show did have a starting lineup of great local bands but unfortunately I couldn't be there till just before Hemlock.

Foxy Shazam in concert 7-12-12

I received an email late in the afternoon on 7-11-12 setting me up with a photo pass to shoot Foxy Shazam at Pieres the next day. I had almost completely given up and was planning on just going to the show so I started getting gear ready. I honestly had no idea what to expect, I had only discovered the greatness of Foxy Shazam months before this. I hadn't heard of any of the openers and I am glad that I showed up for them. Wilson, the Cadaver Dogs, and Stars in Stereo put on great performances and rocked Pieres. Then cam the moment everyone showed up for and boy did I get a treat. These guys are phenomenal, I never thought so much energy could be inside one band. I only hope that my photos captured it. If you have the opportunity to see Foxy Shazam or any of the other bands do so.

Hammerhead Hall Grand Opening Pt.2

So the grand opening Festivities at Hammerhead Hall continued on Sunday with them bringing in a fantastic lineup including Coffin Witch, Deleted By God, Mureau, 9 Electric, and bringing the night to an end... Spineshank. All the bands were fantastic. I will say that if you ever get a chance to see 9 Electric they are a must see live, if it weren't for the energy and presence that Spineshank brought they may have stolen the show. Great end to the second day of Hammerheads grand opening. I am really looking forward to see what they will be bringing in. They are an all ages, all genre venue. Once again if you are in the Fort Wayne area check them out and see what they have going on.

Hammerhead Hall Grand Opening Part 1

     Had the pleasure of shooting Hammerhead Halls grand opening weekend. These guys know how to kick off a venue. First day of their opening weekend was Soil in concert. This came complete with 6 opening acts : Born Under Burden, Shunned, Koheleth, Dark Shades of White, Kriadiaz, and Beyond Threshold. The folks that came out for this event definitely got their monies worth and more. 2 songs into Soils set singer Ryan McCombs joined the crowd and performed with them.
